Every computer they could put to the job in their server farms was working overtime serving the presentation. What? do people seriously think they didn't have every single computer and every BIT of bandwidth going full on?

I assume that bandwidth and server time are things you can buy. Regardless though, I very much doubt that they stream the presentation if they knew that it wasnt going to work for a large percentage of people/time.

I dont see it as some huge hit to Apple's image, but a missed opportunity to present the new products on their own terms. Most people that might have watched the stream are not going to rewatch it later. They will now see the products through the filter of the first hands on reports.
