They are totally getting a rake. Maybe not a huge one but they're not leaving that money on the table.

I dont think Apple is charging for this service. It look like this is just an attempt to extend the utility of the iOS platform.

I can't believe they wouldn't monetize this at some level. They certainly have the leverage. Why would they give away the (eventually) mass platform, and their customers for nothing? That would be like not taking anything from the sales on iTunes. Wouldn't make business sense.
