Fuchi- Great find. It is about time someone besides Compaq use the Media Gx. Looks like Christmas will come in January for Cyrix. Can't wait for Jan/Feb with the Media Gx improving to 220-233mhz and the release of a notebook. This could be a shot in the arm for NSM. Maybe the P/E will increase from 12. Retail buyers being unimpressed with the new box bothers me a little bit. Hopefully, they will wise up to this great technology. Chris

Fuchi, Great news about PB. We have been waiting for it since the first rumors appeared in summer. I guess now we have Digital, Matsushita and Compaq notebooks in the rumor stage for MediaGX. Any others? Joe PS: Any news if South Portland is producing any Cyrix chips yet?

My suspecion is Compaq had a exclusive one year deal with Cyrix for the top grade processor and thus we had no other tier 1 this past year. But this is changing! Also, someone mentioned that Compaq 220mHz is really 233mHz downgraded not to compete with top model, probably right now that PB is shipping 233mHz in Feb. Now let's see some more 3rd world sales! How would we know that is coming? Tatung had been no help so far. Perhaps we need somebody Legend or AST or somebody who is big in China? Any idea, Fuchi? patrick tang
