Am I connecting the dots correctly or am I merely apprehensive?

I, for one, think you are worrying needlessly. In my travels today I came across many stories by people
with hands-on Apple Watch. I posted one here: Message 29707783 and there is another good one
here: yahoo.com The only problem seems to be with the battery unknowns and post 2014 delivery.

This tells me that it was a prototype and was susceptible to crashes.
I wouldn't go that far. There are probably nits in the OS that currently need work, so some input actions may not work properly or consistently, but I wouldn't assume crashes.

the issue of Ives being absent in person
Ives was there… front row. He may be better presented in film (which he was.. in spades), so his off-the-cuff may not be comfortable for him. Nightline did a segment on the intros and Ives appeared there in person. I wouldn't read anything into his not actually being on stage.

ChinuSFO,

Jony Ive was sitting in the first row at the Flint Center. It was he that Tim Cook was making eye contact with and applauding with the rest of the audience after the video.

My sources tell me he is very happy not to be on stage and reluctantly does the videos but understands the needs. Some genius needs public attention (Steve Jobs), some does not (Jony Ive).

FYI: It's Ive, not Ives, and he doesn't like public presentation.

Whoops, I didn't read ahead and see that David M. replied to this.
