Plus the target consumers who will buy the iWatch already own iPhones! I certainly don't see Android users buying iWatches. The tethering is a non issue for me. However, as one who always wears a watch, I could easily see myself using an iWatch instead of a credit card. Also think that Doren is right about the health related uses for the iWatch being a huge area in the future.

One complaint I am getting really tired of hearing is the one about the Apple Watch being tethered to the phone.

I agree, I don't believe that such a complaint represents mainstream users, none of whom would ever think to be without their phone if they could help it.
