ted's a moron.....being duly cognizant of the threat posed by people who say they want to harm the US is not "freaking out".....

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

>>" But the truth is that people feel less secure today than they have at any point in time post-9/11."<<

And you found this "truth" how?
Did you have a vision; did someone come up to you on the street and whisper this "truth" into your ear; did you see a tweet; did you get it from faux?

So many of us have been sleeping so well knowing we did not have a Ready, Shoot, Aim, Bush/McCain type fool in the White House but obviously we did not know "truth" you have discovered.

Please, please tell us how you got this "truth".

Ted, let me clarify what I just said just to show you why it is indeed Obama's fault.

It's Obama's responsibility to focus on national security so that people don't have to fear terrorism. But the truth is that people feel less secure today than they have at any point in time post-9/11.

OMG. This is frigging insane. There has not been one thing to suggest our security is any different than it was 6 years ago.......other than R pols claiming that its much worse.

US security notwithstanding, Americans are going have to face up to the fact that no one can make every thing perfectly safe. We live in a dangerous world that gets more dangerous because asshats like Bush/Cheney decided to invade a country because they liked its oil reserves.

Why is that? Has anything fundamentally changed that makes an attack more likely? Maybe, maybe not, but the weakness and the lack of leadership that Obama is demonstrating is having a negative effect on people's sense of security.

Obama's leadership is fine thank you very much. Certainly, far, far superior to GW Bush's.

Meanwhile, I believe Obama is making the mistake you're making, that he pretends the war on terrorism doesn't exist. If people feel less secure today, they just need to get over themselves, he feels. I say this because, among other things, he believes the ISIS crisis was created by media sensationalism.

Yeah, you tell yourself whatever gets you off.
