OTTAWA, Dec. 12 /PRNEWSWIRE/ - AGISS Software Corporation (AGCR: NASDAQ BB) announced that it has received advanced notice from Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) of a contract to complete Year 2000 remediation work for the Canadian Department of National Defence.

The contract is for work in an area that the department has dubbed the'' MIS Domain''. This domain is one of five that DND has selected to allocate effort to their preparations for the upcoming new millennium. The other four include communications, weapons systems, command and control systems, and miscellaneous systems. The total value of the DND effort for all five domains is estimated by the Department to be between $200 million and $400 million. A significant portion of this budgtet will be allocated to the MIS Domain.

For this contract, AGISS is part of a team composed of AGRA Systems and Deloitte and Touche. AGISS will be providing the automated converstion effort for this contract using its REMEDY2000(TM) methodology. AGRA Systems will provide project management and contract administration and Deloitte and Touche
will be providing up-front assessment and planning. The initial value of the contract is for $250,000; however, it is anticipated that the total value of work assigned under this contract will significantly increase once the Department has completed its initial assessments. According to the joint proposal submitted by the three firms, the potential value of the initial contract is in the $10 million range.

AGISS is pleased to have been one of the firms selected by PWGSC for the DND contract. The President of AGISS, Scott Feagan, state that, ''The award of this contract by a major government department confirms that AGISS is capable of bidding for and winning government contracts. This initial award by DND will permit us to demonstrate the power and speed of our tool sets. This testimony to the excellence of our approach supports our recent efforts in expanding operations in Europe and the United States.''

AGISS SOFTWARE CORPORATION is a leading provider of automated conversion tools and services in Europe, Canada and the United States to solve the Year 2000 problem across many different platforms. Its methodology for correcting the ''millennium'' problem is called REMEDY2000(TM) and is marketed worldwide. AGISS is a wholly owned subsidiary of AGISS Corporation, a NASDAQ OTS BB company.

I just received this from my investment advisor. He talked with AGISS's president, Scott Feagan, today.

I talked with AGISS president, Scott Feagan, and he informed me that this project involves many different environments and languages.

I asked him if they will use CSGI or CCD for this project and he stated that more than likely they will use BOTH. He stated that since this project is made up of so many different languages and platforms, both CSGI's tool and CCD's will be used to address different aspects.

I also asked him the following questions:

Q. What do you think of CSGI's tool ?

A. we are very impressed by the tool and so far, they have done two pilot projects for us and both of them have turned out very well. I think all they need now is to sign a large contact and I feel you should see this in Q1 once the flood gates open.

Q. It has been rumored that CSGI has put out new pricing, would you say that this pricing was aggressive, semi aggressive, or comparable to other vendors ?

A. I would say that their new pricing strategy is very aggressive. It looks like they are looking to get the business and that is what we like to see.

Q. What is going on with AGISS's stock price? This latest news seems to be very positive, but the stock still hasn't responded.

A. Well, one problem that we noticed is that our news releases do not seemed to be picked by some of the other news wires. We are currently trying to correct this problem. We recently made another release regarding the opening of conversion centers in the U.S., but it is not on the major wires. We hope to have this problem corrected shortly.

Q. How much business do you think AGISS will get from the Canadian Gov. ?

A. AGISS is currently one of only ten companies that are on the list that the Canadian Gov. will give projects to. We feel that we are in a excellent position to get many contracts from the Canadian Gov.
