I think the war is Obama's for leaving the place to fall apart.

Gallup: GOP Has Giant Lead on Terrorism
Power Line by John Hinderaker

Opinion is divided on whether 2014 will be a good year for the GOP, or a tsunami. I have inclined toward the former view, mostly because I don’t think Republican candidates have done a good enough job of explaining the ideological basis for the Democrats’ many failures, and why Republicans/conservatives have better ideas. Still, events have a force of their own. Today Gallup finds that Republicans have a stunning 23-point advantage over Democrats on who can best deal with terrorism, 55-32%. John Nolte comments:

Just after the 2012 election, after the mainstream media had allowed President Obama to repeatedly lie about Benghazi and the status of the War on Terror (I believe the word used was “decimated”), Democrats and Republicans were tied on the issue of which party was better able to handle terrorism. …

The tipping point occurred on this very day two years ago. Not right away. Because Obama was in a close reelection bid, his administration and the media coordinated to cover up the facts surrounding the Benghazi attack. …

This all changed after the election. Egypt and Libya fell apart. Obama’s fecklessness on Syria made one wonder if Obama hadn’t been possessed by Jimmy Carter. Our strongest ally in the Middle East, Israel, was forced to freeze the bumbling John Kerry out of the peace process. Vladmir Putin made sages of Romney and Sarah Palin. The president even lost control of our own southern border. The real disaster, though, occurred in Iraq.

The rise of ISIS proved that Obama’s decision to prematurely cut-and-run from Iraq (and not arm moderate rebels in rural Syria) was one of the biggest foreign policy blunders in our country’s history; an unforced error that ensured we lost a won war (Iraq) and will now have to fight another one.

Sometimes facts are too obvious and too overwhelming to be ignored. Republicans may sweep in November in spite of themselves.

POLL: WOMEN TURN ON OBAMA...
Women surveyed said they disapprove of Obama by a 50 percent to 44 percent margin — nearing an all-time low in the poll. It’s almost the reverse of the 55 percent to 44 percent breakdown for Obama among female voters in 2012, according to exit polls.

So the US State Department threatened Foley's family for trying to arrange a ransom for him. They threatened them with prison time for aiding terrorists. But at the same time, the Kenyan Chimp gave Al Qaeda their Dream Team and some say close to $20 million for traitor Bergdahl. Amazing!

Why can't our little Nitwit be prosecuted under the same law that they threatened the Foley family with?

kenneth, are you preparing for the end of civilization as we know it?

Nancy Pelosi and the end of civilization as we know it

The Yahoo News headline begins: “Nancy Pelosi: Civilization ‘In Jeopardy’”

I held my breath and thought, could it be? Is Pelosi actually going to say something sane about the threat of ISIS, or even (gasp) jihad?

But, of course, it was not to be as I finished reading: “Nancy Pelosi: Civilization ‘In Jeopardy’ if GOP Takes Senate”

I know the woman is a loon, but it’s still quite shocking to bump up against her lunacy.

Anyway, she was speaking with Bill Maher. (What a pair, right?)

When asked why he should care if the GOP wins the Senate in November, Pelosi had this to say (while smiling broadly, which is the facial mask of progressives no matter what the topic and even if they haven’t had 1,000 years worth of plastic surgery): “Civilization as we know it today would be in jeopardy.”

Wow! That’s like the war on women on steroids. Now the GOP is a threat to all of civilization?

Pelosi went on to say that 50% of Americans don’t even know there are mid-term elections and how that needs to change. In the next breath, she said that “people are very wise.” Maher asked her how it could be that half the country doesn’t realize there are mid-term elections and be very wise at the same time.

They both laughed it off. (Like I said, laughing is a progressive specialty, particularly when things get awkward.)

Speaking about the economy, Pelosi had this to say: “We are not fear mongers. The Democrats are messengers of hope.”

Uh-huh.

Speaking about ISIS, it was hard to determine which of this pair was more idiotic, but here’s one more Pelosi gem: “I think war is not a way to resolve conflict…It only begets more war.”

Hey, I have an idea. Can someone send a tweet to ISIS that says: Wage peace. I think that might do the trick.
