i have read his posts and find them very informative. we are fortunate to have someone overseas who is close to the company to post here. tower had no news recently to account for the downside. my only guess would be that israel is suffering from the same thing that asia is. or that cypress semi's news on earning and revenue shortfall may have tanked us too since they are in a similar industry. tower has not prewarned except at last earnings and if they come close to the estimate of .22, things should turn for the better. unfortunately, the stock is in a downtrend and i wish it would stop since i bought at 16 (ouch) but the valuations are compelling enough to consider buying more now. low price to sales, book value near 12 or so, and low p/e.
only thing lacking here is a high relative strength.
the books say that we should be buying at these kind of valuations. just wish i knew all the answers.
one question i do have that i can't seem to find the answer: does tower manufacture dram and/or sram. as you can tell i am great at the math, but sometimes lack at the technical side unless it involves my field of work, which is nuclear power( i am a machinist).
thanks and good luck
