People do not want performance, they want OLE, ActiveX, DCOM, Direct3D, Non-compliant JVM's, NetBuei, you name it, its there.

Would 'twere that it weren't.

Come on you know you would trade real-time performance for push-technology any day

Actually, I'd trade real-time for an OS that supported pthreads and OMP natively and included a conforming version of C++, as well as a reasonable perl5. Wait! I'm already running one! Never mind.
