I also download closing prices of my mutual funds from AOL each evening. I'm sure that could be
accomplished somewhere else on the web. I haven't explored that possibility yet.

Pete. I get my mutual fund and stock quotes and the range and volumes for the stocks as well from Quicken (both versions 6.0 and 7.0 for Win95 automatically go out and get this from the Quicken website. Well worth the $29 just for this feature in Quicken). I also have alot of sites listed on my Finance page that will give you portfolio information and it is configurable on several of the sites.

To Finance Page...first go to suite101.com
then click on Financial Pages

Maybe Bob Sr could consider a new line of work if he leaves ABC for golf land....Have Bob Jr do a subscription notes group that charges a modest increment over our $185/yr for the Newsletter and then Bob Sr. could answer questions there? <grin> I do it for free at Suite101, but I'm sure Bob's advice is worth alot more than that!

It would make me so happy to see Bob get away from the evil empire, AOL. It would make me just about as happy if he told his wonderful KGO to not accept heating oil futures advertisements for airtime during his show as they are truely annoying.

Then again....this is probably more like a little boy wishing for more toys than my parents can afford...but one can always ask!

re: Closing prices

I get mine from infobeat.com, free closing quotes, on stocks and mutual funds via email at the end of the day.

Take a look at:

infobeat.com

Friends having AOL tell me their email quotes sometimes do not arrive until well into the evening, I have not had this problem.
