Ted,
Obama is the POTUS and his Commander in Chief......that asshole general needs to show some respect. If he disagrees with the president, he needs to follow the chain of command.
On the one hand, I agree with you. The general needs to keep his lips sealed and respect the decisions coming out of the CiC, no matter how bad they may be.

On the other hand, the general may have a point. He seems to think that the "no boots on the ground" promise does not jibe with the overall mission to eliminate ISIS.

We have a civilian CiC for good reason, but said CiC really ought to respect the opinions of his subordinates if he wants to see the mission accomplished.

Or Obama could just say, "Forget it, it's not our fight," just like you're saying, and just like I've been suggesting for our president who is understandably reluctant to enter this fight.

>> Excuse me but he followed the advice of the generals in Afghanistan and they fucked it up.

Ignorant ass.

He most certainly did not:

"Lieutenant General John Allen told the Senate Armed Services Committee today that the Afghanistan decision President Obama announced last week was not among the range of options the military provided to the commander in chief. Allen’s testimony directly contradicts claims from senior Obama administration officials from a background briefing before the president’s announcement."

If you weren't such a nitwit you'd know that.

>> Obama is the POTUS and his Commander in Chief......that asshole general needs to show some respect.

The American military has no respect at all for that idiot Obama. In fact, very few leftwing nutjobs still respect him.

He's made all of you look foolish and many have decided they can't tolerate the embarrassment of supporting such a fool any longer. Democrat or not, they're jumping ship.
