Even though the people voted to give millions in tax cuts to the rich oil companies which hurts Alaska's economy, many businesses in Alaska are supporting the Republican candidate. One can see it is a tribal thing these days. Right and left in this country is solidly tribal now. Two distinct tribes. Issues matter little anymore. If you are a conservative you vote with the pubs no matter what they do. I expect this to just get more entrenched. So we are simply voting for the tribe we identify with.
