S -- Another story in a similar vein - in 1975, I worked as a volunteer for the Annapolis Chamber of Commerce at their annual Clam Festival (no joke). It was held at the end of August, ostensibly to celebrate the return of months with Rs in them, but actually to have an excuse for the biggest bacchanalian bash on the East Coast.
