The House Republicans are desperate to "show" that VA delays "caused" death, even if they have to force words into the mouths of testifying doctors. The headline to this article is seriously misleading. Should be something like "House Republicans badger V.A. docs to acknowledge links between delays and patient deaths"

V.A. Official Acknowledges Link Between Delays and Patient Deaths

Permanent fund.

A liberal bush rat poet Republican governor (very lincolnesk) married to an inuit woman living in Naknek (up by Dillingham) joined a bunch of young (early 30's) liberal (ad hoc) Democrats who briefly held the house that made that possible.

And it was a blood in the streets battle with the Republican's and oil companies to get it.

25% of all state resource revenue goes into the Permanent fund. We wanted 50%, but pubs stopped us. It may be 50% now?

Pubs and oil companies hated the idea. as usual they were wrong.
