Scottish independence. What fun. I wonder how the Scots will feel if England shuts the border and they have to pay 1000 pounds for a visa to visit. Also, how they'll feel if Mq's 2008 prediction of a 2020 big freeze comes to pass.

The last glaciation ended not far north of London. Scotland was far under the ice.

Scottish independence can't be much of a problem for England because there are only 4 million in Scotland compared with some 50 million south of Hadrian's Wall. I doubt we'll notice it in Queens Park, London.

Singapore works okay as an independent country, as do Switzerland, Iceland, Ireland and New Zealand. Size and population don't matter. Keeping the jihadists out might be enough reason to rebuild Hadrians Wall. But the Scottish socialist welfare mentality might run into problems without the opm coming from the south. They'll have to go free enterprise. No corporate tax would see a few businesses locating there.
