We were quite high tone. There were no convicted horse thieves in our entire family tree. I suspect that was because we emphasized horsemanship from an early age. As a matter of fact one of our ancestors ran a livery stable. We left the US around the middle of the civil war. I still have a picture of our stable and one of the original horse blankets. It's stamped Property of the U.S. Army.
