People in Los Angeles go to our local outdoor mall "The Grove" / "Farmers Market" to eat and take a walk. The mall is half restaurants. Locals wave a card at a reader to park for free.

We've seen very few shopping bags for the past few years.

Families bring their kids for afternoon and evening strolls, just as they do in other local Los Angeles villages.
Sort of a Los Angles version of the Italian Passeggiata fodors.com

LA, although a massive contiguous city, is as collection of local villages, with many rarely leaving their local village.

I posted this before , this last two years VIPS or V-Shops is the Chinese online Amazon / Catalog one stop shop destination, while you might remember BAC being bailed out by Warren Buffet dipping to $4.90 you could have bought this at the same price of $5 right about then to. (when the PIGS were collapsing)

From about 120mil market cap to over $10bil in just 2.3yrs i guess the local mail/FDX does pretty well to, their site here, did Jack's wife ever order from them?

Much better ROI on this than BAC, though Buffet did a tidy $5B off the BAC deal & then some.
