Well, I think the FOOLS did put that update as a result of our e-mails. Unfortunately, FOOLS put a very defensive overtone to their update. Wasn't much in the way of a correction - kind of negative. Very nice of them to hit us w/ a double-whammy.

Last q when revenues did not meet the whisper number, although eps did, we took a beating. I guess it does beg the question of will we be beaten down again assuming eps is good (very likely), but if revenues are not where they are supposed to be (whisper revenue number)?

This was the comment from Bay management - from the earlier post:

In October, as the networking equipment company reported
its first quarter, Bay Network officials said revenue should
grow from the first to the second quarters, but not as fast as
the 11% increase from the fourth to the first quarters. The
company said its guidance has not changed.

You can't be sure. The only way EPS grows without revenue growth
is by margin improvements. How high can you take your margins
quarter after quarter to maintain your desired EPS growth ?
Revenue growth is important just as growth in margins. Both
can impact EPS but the former has usually room for growth.
If either drop off on a flagship product, ...

Now, does anyone really know how the revenues are going to be
this quarter ?
