Nonsense. Aside from twisting further deflection, simply stated one doesn't need the pretense of divine agency (or Jesus) to live drug free & focussed lives, dedicated living for the fine arts can do that. Though looking back at the history of western Christendom, we see it has always wrestled with demons of alcohol use. More wars were probably started by kings, popes suffering hangovers from too much boozing the night before & added hysterias brought on by cleric's preachings. (see mullahs of Islam, they don't even need drugs to cause havoc)

Humanism offers the Arts, Philosophies & Sciences which is quite vast and there are a plethora of great historical & living figures from which to draw inspiration from & emulate. In the interest of truth, we find the highest meth use & meth labs found in the southeast, midwest, Carolinas, Florida, Georgia, Virginia,Tennesse, states that have been traditionally some of the most religious & claiming their god fearing, something apparently is lacking in this culture of faith. There is no aspect or fact involving the real world you cannot dodge, evade or shrink from & ignore? Is that some kind of hallmark of your particular religion, always the convenient evasion of truth?
