Spoke to Microware Analyst Today I thought that you guys might like to hear about my call with Ted Kunzog at LaSalle St Securities. If you recall, Ted is the analyst who loves Microware. Microware supplies the operating system for the ZE STB's. I asked him about ZE. Although he likes the Co., he was not overly excited. One reason was that he felt that HDTV could be slow coming. When I asked him if he was aware that ZE has the patent on VSB which is also neccessary for other formats, he was unaware on both counts. This is a tremendous positive for us. If an analyst is not aware of ZE's licensing potential, then how can Wall Street be aware? He also felt that there will be a lot of competition in the STB field, he likes the software play as opposed to the hardware play in ZE. He quipped that it was funny that TCI was accepting proposals for the big STB deal when the ZE/Microware box can do it all!!! In addition, he agreed that it would make perfect sense for Intel to partner with a company like ZE to have a shot at the TCI pie. Enough for now, Scott
