Interesting that perhaps a large amount of the phones sold are going directly into China......not for US market.

Still talking about Apple so whatever they do is a flop.

Yeah - it was obvious when that first guy to buy an iPhone in Australia opened his box and the iPhone went flying away - on TV no less. Defective boxes, who'll want to buy an iPhone like that?

:-)

> Seems there were only 2 times the launches actually doubled sales.

Yes but there is that perception that Apple is still a growth company. And it wasn't only the iPhones, iPads took off. iPods took off.

So merely gaining 10% over last year seems like... nothing really. And really its not a big deal. Status quo. Now if one adds in higher ASP, higher margins, better iTunes sales, rising Mac sales, expansion into China and a few other profit areas they'll be having a good year. Maybe better than people expect.

But no reason for investors to go into a frenzy of Apple stock buying.

Apple pulls iOS update after widespread reports of disabled phones: Re/code

The iOS 8.0.1 update is no longer available after multiple users earlier reported serious issues with the new
version of the operating system, one that was expected to fix a glitch with the highly anticipated HealthKit apps.

Many users on Twitter said they lost cellular signal, data service and Touch ID capability after updating to
iOS 8.0.1. However, those with the iPhone 5 said they had no issues, and both MacRumors and TechCrunch
reported that only the 6 and 6 Plus have had update problems.
