I concur and to expand let me add "briefly"

They only mention that the OS w/o IE won't work to explain why they are forced by DOJ and the judge to retreat to that last OS that was able to function without IE. They are showing that to remove IE from the current OS would in fact disembowel it leaving them no choise other than to retrograde to a prior OS. MSFT also makes the very cogent point that the function of the cpu/OS is to organize the input and output of data. The input data comes from a variety of sources. The keyboard as I am typing now, the disk drive as the place of stored data. The ram the place of current data. The CDROM a place for archival storage. The scanner a device that captures images and the internet the world's largest source of just about anything and everything. Isn't this what NSCP was crowing about when they woke Gates up to the fact that he was asleep on this one?

Did Charmin' Billy cry to his Congressman, did he cry foul? No! He said the internet was stupid and then put all his people to work on IE. That is the American way! And lo and behold here we have MSFT being told that starting from behind and catching up was not fair. Why didn't NSCP develop an OS or buy one Mac comes to mind? Why ? Because they were 1. too timid and 2. too sure that they had the monopoly.

Go MSFT
