I wonder what koan i s seeing in Alaska because there is where older folks are buying after selling their houses in the contiguous states for a handsome profit.>>

Our housing prices are very high and getting higher. The average price for a single family home is approaching $500,000.

Lots of older folks and big money coming into Alaska. Lots of cash sales we never saw before. In Juneau we are sort of a pristine sanctuary with clean air and water, low crime, lots of work and social systems in tact.

We have a super hot ocean in the gulf of Alaska and it has been a record year for rain. We are seeing sunfish, Humbolt squid and tuna as far north as Valdez/Prince William sound.

If we get hit by the El Nino the ocean will get even hotter. We may not get much snow this winter in southeast as the ocean is so hot and heating us.

But it seems to be the entire northwest people are moving to. Portland is increasing at 7,000 a month.

There is a good chance California will have a very wet winter caused by El Nino.
