Both the Greeks & Romans had major female deities in their pantheon (and Egyptians) they also had women in the priesthoods. The oracle at Delphi was renowned in the ancient world as far back as 700BCE and as civilizations go they did pretty well, lasting & extremely innovative. There is one thing Jehova managed to do for his people, he got them all wiped out & decimated many times over, there's a moral to the story hiding in there somewhere. And the Middle East is such a lovely peaceful place to live today with this tribal "God of Abraham".
