When a society has a lot of uneducated folks, blame the society, not the folks. Yes most of the folks coming north have little education, which is why we need to beef up our pubic education to help them. If we build it they will come! Had bush put part of that five trillion he pissed away into education we could be the pearl of the world. We should start immediately with free pre school with hot meals for all children in America and also build near free community colleges in every town in the country over 30,000. And reinstate student work programs for kids in college. California used to have an educational system like that and they educated millions of poor kids like myself to be productive members of society. As I keep preaching, near free public education is the most important thing ANY country can do to improve its societies production and lessen its crime. Such a simple concept no one seems to get.

I have my own theory on the red states and blue states phenomena. We are all aware about koan's claim that scientists are Dems predominantly etc. etc. Here in the US, the population centers are well educated and vote Democratic. That maybe that there is lot of people contact by way of discussion groups, clubs, churches of various denominations etc. These are knowledge exchange centers and the more of such exchanges the better educated and politically mature these folks get. And these densely populated centers even cities like Atlanta, Cleveland etc. vote Blue. And then you go to the sparsely populated areas such as the farming towns in Central valley CA, or the Red states. All they get their news and info from is from m ass media such as FOX News, Washington Times etc. Many of these folks are angry, full of hate and their anger and hate is stoked by such news outlet that I mentioned. And they come out and vote Red.
