More on Crows and "Anting" - A process by which a bird lays on an ant hill and waits to be covered in ants determined to protect their queen and nest from a perceived threat. (think of yourself as the crow & j'ellen the insect ant)

Natural Selection

Many birds are known to engage in this activity, however the corvids (an avian family consisting of crows, ravens, rooks, jays, magpies, etc) are especially well known for their desire to cover themselves entirely with ants. But bummy still thinks consciousness is something only humans have, must be very dark in his world.

Anting crows and ravens grab ants with their beak, crush them, and wipe the natural oils across the underside of their wing feathers. Formic acid and pungent anal fluids squeezed from ants have insecticidal properties that may drive unwanted parasites from the bearer's body.
