I don't think anyone is implying Apple is "doomed". However, it's good to remember "all that glitters isn't gold"...

Apple has their minions; brand loyalty. That's a fact! They know that and shouldn't rely solely on it. Especially when their products demand premium pricing and competitors are nipping at their heels.

Why do you introduce these straw men into every criticism of Apple? Nobody with any brains thinks that Apple is doomed and it is never said on this thread. I think the questions that most people want to answer when they see something like the bent iPhones or the screwed up iOS 8.0.1 is whether it will impact near-term sales and whether it might reflect Apple product quality slipping in the long-term.

The mockery of something that nobody says advances neither of those conversations.
