What makes the iPhone immune to the winds of technology trends? Odd. I would think by now that you understood Apple better. Apple disrupts their own technologies. They've done it time and again and are the only company that seems to understand what will supersede each previously disruptive technology they've produced - so they can make the next one even more intuitive from an accumulation of the best available components and their proprietary OS. They develop the whole device. No one else does that.
