Efren, in my entire Investing life, I've always been Long---buying stocks and Option Calls; now I'm learning how to buy Puts and sell Short just to protect the value of my investments in these difficult times. I've made money the past three "shorting" days trying to catch the Yoyo movements of AMAT...Funny to say how clumsy I perforemed just before the close:---I covered what I thought was 1000 shares at 28 1/8 (which I sold short at 28 7/16), but instead I missed one zero when I punched the order---to make it only 100 shares bought to cover! I just found out my error this night... I think I have to be more careful next time... now, I'm in trouble tomorrow if the stock suddenly spike Up without looking down---I need more practice being a temporary Bear, I guess...anyway, it's a learning experience...
