No, my point was that if the aluminum is weak enough to bend under normal circumstances that it will show up fairly quickly. This isnt like a new car that might sell 20,000 units in the first month. Apple has several million iPhone 6 Plus field testers already and if the stories are to be believed, it happens under pretty routine conditions.

The fact that only nine people have come to Apple is a pretty good datapoint and it wont take long to know the real extent of the problem.
