"if there is a god , that deity sure has one hell of a sick sense of humor given human history"

It is, of course, nonsensical to divide our world into natural and supernatural. The truth is that there is the known and there is the unknown. Over time, the unknown simply becomes known. Arbitrarily calling it "supernatural" is simply a sop to our human fears and ignorance in pre-scientific times. We know now that leaves rustle for a reason. And although a mountain might be a convenient place to (secretly and without witnesses) meet a magical being from the heavens and get privileged information to maintain leadership and control over a tribe--and a confessional is surely a great place to remove all the human attributes of a simple man leaving only a voice to show he is other-worldly and has communion with "God"--these transparent attempts to subdue the common man are obscenely insulting to the modern intellect.

I suspect the unknown has many many wonders to bring to us. And those wonders will have nothing to do with forcing people to eat quail till the meat runs out of their nose--or testing the fidelity of your wife by forcing her to drink diseased offal off the slaughterhouse floor of the sacrificial temple. (If she doesn't get extremely ill and die it means your fears were unfounded and she was faithful). Wonderful. And we are told that both of these remedies were Yahweh's precise solutions!

No, the unknown will show us awesome discoveries that primitive tribal leaders and scribes could have no conception of. What it will not show us is that some particular human tribes are favored by an invisible Commander in Chief who hates with all the simple-minded bigotry of a stunted mind...every other human being on the earth. We will not find that--as we slowly draw back the veil of the unknown.

These frantic ad hominem attacks on Dembski and Meyer are pretty good evidence you find their ideas threatening.
