HP is First Systems Vendor to Ship Servers Bundled with Double-byte
Kanji Version of Unicenter TNG Framework
Computer Associates International, Inc. and Hewlett-Packard Co. jointly announced today that Hewlett-Packard Japan will ship Unicenter TNG Framework Japanese Edition with its "L" series NetServers at no additional cost to HP customers. These servers will also be equipped with HP TopTools management software, which is fully integrated with Unicenter TNG.
HP is the first systems vendor to ship a double-byte Kanji version of Unicenter TNG Framework. The combination of TopTools and Unicenter TNG will enable Japanese businesses to significantly reduce their cost of server ownership while maximizing the availability and performance of critical network applications.
The introduction of these highly manageable systems into the Japanese market is an extension of the strategic relationship between Computer Associates International, Inc. and Hewlett-Packard Co.
"By bundling Unicenter TNG Framework and HP TopTools with our NetServers, we will be providing Japanese customers with a powerful yet easy-to-manage solution for today's demanding computing environments," said Hiroshi Asoh, Business Manager, Server Business, Personal Systems Group, Hewlett-Packard Japan, Ltd. "In addition to being extremely easy to monitor and administer individually, IT departments will also gain tremendous benefits from being able to better manage their NetServers collectively with other elements of the enterprise infrastructure."
"Japanese corporate customers are very fortunate that Hewlett-Packard Japan has decided to take the lead shipping Unicenter TNG Framework Japanese Edition with their server platform," said Chua Tock Ling, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Asia and President and Managing Director of Computer Associates Japan. "This bundling offers superior value and will enhance the implementation of distributed computing solutions in all industries."
