Once we have established organic chemistry of life very little of the processes we see anywhere around us are random. Trying to mislead by anthropomorphizing all that to fit primitve scripture by using terms as "blind & unguided" is fabrication. Life even on a molecular level obeys so many set rules one couldn't even begin to list them all. Chemistry even non-organic sphere obeys set rules to as you well know. Its pretty hard to ignore all of the emerging complex animal behaviors that we note as they evolve & transition which would include flocking, schooling, herding, migrating & hive activities. All these linked to their own special physical needs & survival adaptations to the immediate ever changing environment.
