Jeff, as always, you raise fair points and observations, and I can't say I disagree with anything. I just think that you, Carter, and Rosner have always intimated just a bit too strongly that Billy did it, and boom, case closed. He's not here to defend himself, so I have to place at least some credibility on the NHPD et. al.'s never naming him a suspect. Surely, I assume his autopsy evidence was meaningful enough for them to reach this decision. Sure, absence of evidence is not evidence of absence, but nevertheless I'm not jumping to any conclusions.

I also have yet to read that he was known to be violent. Also, I could swear I read somewhere that the murder weapon was more likely a hunting/buck knife, and not an x-acto architect student's blade. Also, many other people have green jackets and bear some resemblance to the sketch.

In all fairness, I've never read your 11 page report. All I really know about Billy is from Beach's article, and from your various posts here and comments on other articles scattered throughout the internet.

Do you have any idea as to whether Billy was at the Carter pre-game party on 12/4/98? This question was raised by "Interesteding" below, and I'm curious what your take on that is. My assumption is no, because if he were it would've been reported, but I'd like to hear it from you or Carter.
