Having both Bay and Lucent as strategic partners/alliances can only help. Ascend seems to have been hammered for not having been forthright with "The Street" about some financials. Once management loses credibility on Wall Street, either 1) the Board must replace the management, 2) at least two quarters are needed to restore confidence or 3) the stock never recovers.

I think Ascend may need to use either 1) and/or 2) to get out of its malaise.
