Either way, what the people of Hong Kong want is what we have, no matter how ineffectual one may think or claim it to be: A democratic form of government that gives them the freedom to choose their destiny. There is NOTHING about Hong Kong that warrants snobbery towards the US or any country for that matter. Your pics of opulent living living are a stark contrast to what we KNOW in the west about Hong Kong. There is a reason they call these cubicles INFAMOUS. If Hong Kong is the "Pearl of the Orient" you can have it. Come to New York City or San Francisco and I guarantee you that , while they may have their share of poverty (as no city city or civilization can escape the poor) its nothing compared to the shit holes in Hong Kong. ____ OH.... and Its a good thing HK Police are only armed with pepper spray... give that lot real guns and there'd be NOTHING BUT BLOOD IN THE STREETS.
