If you fit the Apple model EXACTLY, then you can buy. If not, then get lost.

Fair enough. In the case of grandfathered unlimited data, I understand that you are an exception. I can't imagine many people are having the same trouble as you, though. Apple has made the purchase experience easy for the vast majority of people, and that's part of the reason why sales are at unprecedented levels for any cell phone.

I'm in the same boat in regards to wanting a Verizon iPhone 6 out of contract because I don't want to go for a limited Data, unlimited stuff I never use plan.

I had to purchase my iPhone 6 plus through Verizon and wait until they get the model I want.

It's a 3 to 4 week wait regardless if I buy from Apple or Verizon.

Tried to go directly to Apple to buy but was told my only option was to get my Phone from Verizon because of Contractual issues.

I've waited a year for this Phone so what is another month?

Personally I'd rather have Apple having people lining up waiting to buy their products and selling out of initial builds than having the opposite problem.

I get your frustration with your purchase experience but please try not to take it out on the readers and responders of the thread.
