I drew the boxes to highlight the only apples-to-apples comparisons that are possible to make at this time.
I said nothing about pre-release period comparisons, nor did I suggest cherry-picking a couple of recent releases. I was quite precise, and upon your reply, was even more precise. I was clear that the data is early and could change. And while Statscounter is a great public/free source, I never suggested using it as the best one. Yes, I have very proprietary feeds - multiple ones. And yet you felt the need to mislead and accuse me of lying. Again, if you want to go back and forth, please move to PM rather than annoying others here.
Both Sept and Oct shares this year are increasing faster than the corresponding period for the 2 previous years.
They are not increasing at the same rate as the average for the various releases over the previous ~4 years - there's a clear underperformance versus the past this time around. But again, it's a tiny sample that might get adjusted and the trend may change. I often trade on this data, but haven't yet this time, if that says anything about my faith in its weight.
