Well, you should know, you're a Hong Konger....

....but from the other side of the globe, as an outsider looking in, I have a different sense of it all, and it really doesnt have a lot to do with current unrest because given time it's quite likely that it will die out. However, I repeat my perspective: Hong Kong is now a part of China and over time I could envision Hong Kong being pulled into China's political orbit.

The brightest outcome would be that Hong Kong, due to the freedom it has enjoyed, exerts extreme positive influence over China.... which would make China a better China. If however, Chinese politics eventually swallows Hong Kong whole, Hong Kong would lose its luster.

China will never do anything to diminish HK's stature in the Global Chess Game...

It is their "Playground" for their Rich and Famous politico's and Business giants, etc...

It is their "Showplace" and example to the World that China is a Civilized experience...

The Students, Citizens, Civil Servants and everydayers of HK have it "as good as it gets"
anywhere on the Globe...

Long Live HK...

TJ is but a mere "grain of sand" in the HK Experience and he will (I assume) admit as much...

Onward Men...
