I believe I can get him to put out a sworn affidavit saying he is not short more than the 98,500 anywhere, anyhow, or in conjucntion with anybody. What would you say to that?

Sounds great to me. Either Mork is telling you the truth or he isn't.

If he is then there must be somebody else SHORT. Perhaps Mork knows
of other indivduals/brokers that are short but is not affiliated in any shape or form with them.

If he isn't and really is short to the tune of 1 million+ shares, what more would he have to lose by lying??? In fact why not lie. If you are in that position you are already screwed.
