* NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Shares of Coinstar Inc. (CSTR) fell nearly 7%
Monday following a 5.3% drop Friday.
Shawn Milne, an analyst with Hambrecht & Quist Inc., said the company
continues to see strong consumer and retailer demand for its network of
self-service coin-counting machines.
Milne said he was unaware of any developments at the company that
triggered a stock drop.
Milne noted that because the stock is "not too liquid," it tends to
move quickly.
Other analysts and a company representative didn't immediately return
calls seeking comment.
* Coinstar shares were trading recently at 8 3/8, down 5/8, or 6.9%, on
Nasdaq volume of 146,000 shares, compared with average daily turnover of
36,100. Shares dropped to 7 5/8 earlier.
