A bell may not be self aware, but maybe one byte aware as tp suggested, there is the tiny rain drop vs the sea analogy, raindrops do add up. You might someday grasp what some physicists (and ancient greek philosophers) have already intuited, this universe is more than it seems, and alot of that depends on us.

And every time a bell rings does an angel get its wings, Harry Potter?

Btw, the first part above has been discussed in the metaphysics of some of the great western thinkers but you better stick to the angels, tinkerbell.
