I started out small many years ago and instead of stopping subscriptions I didn't want, I just let them keep coming and also added more as time went on. Since I stopped most of the subscriptions, I am getting less than 20 emails a day. Also, I have a clean inbox which really helps. I do get frequent spams etc but Hotmail puts them in my junk folder. I get around 10 a day in that folder.

The scams and Nigerian schemes end up there also. Hotmail has a special category "phishing scams" which I apply to them.... but not before posting them on Scam-warners.
