Hi Sam.....this is an unusual bankruptcy...

Apple demanded repayment of the 570 million dollar loan to GTAT.

GTAT paid them 250 million in advance of the due date (Jan. 15)

GTAT still owes APPLE 350 million dollars...On very unfavorable terms to GTAT.......with the chapter 11 APPL and GTAT will have to come to terms that are more suitable to GTAT.

IF GTAT went under Apple loses 350 million dollars and a sapphire supplier.

When GM filed bankruptcy...the shareholders got wiped clean and the bondholders got all the new stock in the company.

GTAT has NO bondholders. Its primary debt is to Apple.

GTAT has book value of 1.57 and a very sustainable business model.

I think there is more to this situation than can be determined at the moment.
