I don't know if it's relevant to any of the discussion, but running Yosemite on iMac, I've had difficulty with the text editor when trying to compose a post. For several weeks now, the text insertion point cursor will move normally with typing, but not relocate when I use the mouse to change insertion points. Also, this morning while composing a post, before I could click on the "Submit Public" button but after clicking to uncheck the "Preview/Spellcheck?" I was giving it one last read and everything crashed. Went to grey screen, then eventually to a folder containing a flashing question mark. I wasn't running any other software in the background that I had launched. The cursor issue remains during this composition. It also doesn't follow a carriage return, once I have used the mouse to reinsert, and it quits flashing. On other boards, I have yet to find this issue.
