Maybe I'm forgetting history. Maybe it was Cyrix->National that sold the graphics IP to qualcom. Maybe I just don't remember. Reminds me of wannabmw from 20 years ago who used to post.

AMD's two main assets are patents and warm bodies. The x86 franchise is devaluing rapidly I think, due to Intel's willingness to expand x86 in their Foundry attempts. The GPU IP would be most valuable in mobile, but ARM looks to be cornering that as well, to the detriment of Imagination.
