berniel: I hope it turns out that way. on the other hand, we have the background of leveraged etf's, HUGE margin debt, $700 trillion in derivatives, hft, rydex and profund type funds leveraged long, etc. once the unwinding really starts it could be a black hole. consider this: bloomberg just did a survey of the top 19 houses and their estimates for 12/31/14. the average was for spx 2050. no one is really prepared for a fast move down that takes no prisoners.
