we see things totally differently..I think Rubin is a honorable man
who chose to keep the global economy going "his" way for the good
of the country..I just think that when one interferes with natural
market forces it always ends badly. We all have to agree that more
and more people are working throughout the country..which shortterm
is the bottomline.
In order to do this I think the government statistics on inflation
are being deliberately misleading in order not to spook the bond market which appears to have been fueling this market through corporate interest expense savings etc.
.just heard that cable rates are going up now..again..rises here and there add up to money..(even if it isn't a billion here and a billion there) (I just think it could have happened another way if they had followed another policy..not the interest rate way that has in my mind produced the equity bubble which will probably lead to the hard asset bubble further down the road)
As for Clinton, if people didn't care what a Nixon did..and put him back as senior statesman..if people don't care about Kennedy's private life...if people didn't care about Reagan dozing at meetings etc and building up the country's debt..if people didn't care about Bush's sons in the Savings and Loan fiasco.. clinton's phone calls are grains of sand ...Paula is neutron(?) as in minute speck.
If more and more people started losing their jobs..even if Clinton
was a rival to Pope Giovanni..he still would have been voted out..
just my thoughts..
