But remember that the cost of borrowing money right now is very very very cheap... and 3P reserves in the ground don't depreciate much, if any, because those will get "future" prices when/if produced and brought to market.

One thing is certain with this oil price slump -- deflationary pressures are mounting worldwide and especially in Europe where they are only now getting around to stimulus policies... but the US and now European stimulus pkgs. can easily become "liquidity traps" that can hold interest rates very very low for a lot longer than most people seem to believe.
